Plans For the New Year

Well, I guess it’s time to lay down the plans for this year. While I’m largely of the opinion that New Year’s Day is one of the ‘inflated’ holidays, setting goals is always a good thing. With that said, here are the ambitions for the year:

1.) I plan to finish the first draft my first novel within the next three months.

2.) I plan to have the first edit of the novel done within six months.

3.) I plan to publish at least one short story this year. This story will either be ‘Memory Market’ or ‘Cache’. I haven’t decided yet.

4.) I plan to set goals again for my diabetes. I’m treading awfully close to needing the needle. This means exercise, diet and control. All of which I have a problem with.

5.) I plan to get out to see my southwestern family more frequently. I don’t want to miss watching my niece and nephew grow up. Uncle Burt needs to provide them with quality cartoons after all. Not much of a godparent if I don’t.

That’s enough plans for one day.
